Shalakya Tantra (Ayurvedic Eye, ENT & Head) is an important speciality of Ashtanga Ayurveda mainly dealing with diagnosis and management of diseases above the neck including head, eye, ear, nose, throat and oral cavity. Two OPDs of Eye and ENT are actively running. Diagnosis and treatment of patients with latest equipment and medicines is being done. The department is also imparting quality education at PG level by blending the knowledge of inter-disciplinary understandings i.e. integration of modern sciences and patient-oriented research with involvement in public care.The department imparts Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. (Part time) and Diploma in Ayurveda (Pharmacy) education with the aim of hand-to-hand training in examination, technical training in diagnosis and traditional management along with special emphasis on Ayurvedic treatment procedures like Kriya Kalpa procedures, Nasya, Moordha taila and Panchakarma procedures pertaining to Shalakya Tantra. Ph.D. and PG degree courses in this specialty are being run since 2021; which made it the first institute in Haryana to confer this degree. P. G.
