Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic college & Hospital, Kurukshetra is situated at Umri road Sec-8 Kurukshetra. The college was established on 1^st May 1972 by Hon’ able Sh. Guljari Lal Nanda, former Prime Minister of India under the management (Private) of Navjeeven Sangh Kurukshetra in Nabha House. On  6 June 1975 the college was taken over by the Haryana Govt. This college and hospital is shifted in the newly constructed building in Year 1992.

            This college is affiliated and implemented the ordinance, syllabus & Academic guidelines of Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra. As well as Central Council of Indian Medicine / Govt. of India. This college is running B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery ) “Ayurvedacharya” & Diploma in Pharmacy (Ayurvedic). There are 50 sanctioned seats each of B.A.M.S.& 50 seats for D.Phatmacy (Ay.) All the admission of B.A.M.S. are made on the basis of Merit of NEET        examination.

            Degree of Ayurvedacharya (B.A.M.S. ‘Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & surgery’) is awarded after successful completion of four & half years with one year (6Month Ayurvedic & 6 Month Allopathic) internship. B.A.M.S. course is divided into four Professional .

            The college has a very good infrastructure i.e.  beautiful buildings as per C.C.I.M./Govt. of India norms. The college has herbal garden in 5 Acre land with more than 5000 medicinal plants. The college fulfills almost all the essential requirement of         Central Council of Indian Medicine/Govt. of India. Shri Krishna Govt. Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra is selected as Model Institute of Ayurveda by the Govt. of India in 2008. There are four Lecturer Theatre with audio visual facility and three class             rooms. The college has beautiful Library and there are more than 10000 books in the library of the college. The girl’s hostel with the   capacity of 96 and boys hostel with the capacity of 100  is functioning in a new beautiful building. The college has           functional 108 bedded hospital. Drug testing Laboratory and state Govt. Pharmacy are also being established in the campus of the college for practical training of the students.. This institute has good facilities for sports and NSS programmes etc.               and also conducts the training programmes for Doctors/Teachers & paramedical staff time to time as well as free Ayurvedic camps.  Presently there are 14 (in each department) OPD/IPD in the Hospital. In the Hospital Ayurvedic  Medicines, Pathology Test               and     X-Ray, ECG  are available free of cost for benefit of patient. One Ambulance is available for the patient. Now a day Shri Krishna govt. Ayurvedic College is unique Institute not only in Haryana but also in the Northern India. Efforts are being made to               more to more up gradation/developments also for the benefit of students and needs of society.
